It’s that time of year, all the summer sales are on, and everything we paid full price for is now reduced in the sale! I take FOREVER to choose shoes. I am all about comfort, and I’d rather be comfortable than look good. Luckily, this year I’ve found some shoes which do both! I’ve put together some of my favourite summer shoes, most of which are available in the sales.
Several years of waitressing and nursing on my feet all day, means I favour flats over heels. It’s hardly ever worth a night in heels. However, I still want to look good in flats and I’ve been searching for pairs I can wear out to dinner or the pub.
This summer, I found that Office Shoes have some beautiful flats to choose from. My favourites by far have to be these little cross strap sandals. They come in several different colours, with shades from pastel pink to metallic gold leather. While writing this post, I’ve spotted a newly added navy pair that I might have to get!
The comfortable suede straps hold the sandals on securely, with no areas that rub or are too tight. I had to go down a size for a snug fit, but I don’t advise that unless you are inbetween sizes. The reviews are absolutely true – they are easily the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever owned.
Also from Office Shoes, I picked up a pair of grey mules in the sale. Mules appear to be everywhere right now, and were never something I would have considered before. With beautiful soft grey suede, they go lovely with a pair of smart jeans or trousers.
My all time favourite shoes have to be Toms. They are the only closed toed shoes I can wear comfortably without socks all day. I have 3 pairs currently, but the range is always expanding therefore there’s always several colours to choose from! Toms also come with slightly different styled soles, and they stock trainers and flip flops too. Office has a good selection of Toms in the sale right now, click here to check them out.
Another cheeky summer purchase was my first pair of converse! I loved the blue and white style, though they are a bit narrow so I’m thinking of swapping them for a white leather pair.
I’m always on the lookout for discounted shoes, the sales are ideal for stocking up for next year. If you aren’t the fussy type about the ‘latest’ style then it’s a great time of year to grab a bargin!
